HKAPA|Academy Production: Interstage 2025 Stillness

Description
Interstage is a pop concert produced and crafted by students from the School of Theatre and Entertainment Arts at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. This year, the eighth iteration of Interstage will be co-created by veteran concert producer Hong Ka-chun, singer-songwriter Ashley Lin, and music director Enoch Cheng, alongside six students from the Academy.
Ashley Lin is a rising Hong Kong singer-songwriter known for her emotive storytelling and versatile musical style. Blending pop, jazz, and blues, her music draws inspiration from literature, films, and personal experiences. In 2024, she won the Gold Award for Best New Female Artist at the Ultimate Song Chart Awards with original songs like “You”, “Now”, and “Curiosity”, establishing her presence in the music scene. Her heartfelt songs resonate deeply, sharing stories that connect with audiences.
Interstage 2025 is a cyclical, sensory journey centred on the theme of “tides”. Much like the rise and fall of water, the concert explores the fluid nature of emotions as we try to navigate the complex human experience.
Duration:Approx. 90minutes (without intermission)
